Fudgy Chocolate Frosting:
- 1 cup boiling water
- ⅔ cup unsweetened chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups dried, pitted dates
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- pinch salt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Add the boiling water and cocoa powder to a blender and blend on high speed for 30 seconds. Don’t let steam build up!
- Add the dates, syrup, vanilla and salt to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and let chill for a few hours until it spreads nicely. (4 hours is optimal)
